Before I go any further I just want to say that I've only read the routes of GIl, Lars, and Parker. And have skimmed through the episodes of Gil, Lars (special too), and Mark. Meaning I do not have all of the necessary information of the story, so please correct me if any of the assumptions I have made are wrong (they probably are).
The reason I bring up the idea of Herbert's death is because of the insinuations that he is in fact dead. He’s not ever physically seen besides in flashbacks, and has not talked to Walter directly (besides Herbert saying he’s busy over the phone to Walter when his dad called Walter). Also Walter's dad said that Herbert is dead but then quickly said he was joking. Apparently it’s an inside joke they have going on but I believe there’s more to it (although I may be looking too deep).
Walter could have accidentally killed Herbert in the so-called “Incident” we know of but I believe this isn’t too accurate as to the fact that everybody in his life is acting far too casually. Unless everyone is just VERY dedicated to not let Walter know anything. Herbert is most likely alive and just has a distant relationship with Walter but the MASSIVE amount of information in Lars day 9 tells me that they have more than just a distant relationship. I obviously won't get into it because it’s Patreon only content as of right now, but boy was I ASTRONOMICALLY SHOCKED when I read the update. There is also the fact that Walter and Herbert could be the same person or possibly got switched? But that's really unclear. It still seems like a pretty valid question to ask, especially since they are identical twins.
Of course there's other big questions such as,
“Why are people coming after Walter?”
“What does Walter’s pendant mean?”
“Why are family names such as Learnard and McGrath so important”
“Why are strangers like Tora and Andrew so WEIRD???”
“What’s up with the house that Lars squatted by?”
“Did Gil and Walter’s dad (Edgar) have sex?!?!?!”
“Why is everyone so damn inconspicuous?!”
“AND WHY THE HELL WALTER DOESN’T QUESTION ANY OF IT?!?!?!?!”
Sorry, that was a lot of questions. And hopefully they will be answered in due time BECAUSE THEY KEEP ME UP AT NIGHT. But all in all I believe that the question of the “Incident” and Walters relationship with Herbert is the most important.

Gil and Parker also have many doubts about their relationship:
Why does Parker declare that he and Gil are best friends without considering the relationship between Lars and Gil?
Why does Parker look a little depressed when he says that his relationship with Gil is not as close as Lars × Gil?
Why did Parker tell Gil not to manage his diet and fitness, but Parker insisted on managing Gil's sexual behavior?
Why should Parker get involved in the private life of the ＂Lars × Gil＂lovers？
Why does Parker want to go over and see what Gil is doing when he knows that Lars and Gil live together?
Why did Gil say that Parker was trying to prevent himself from making the same wrong decision? What wrong decisions did Gil make before? What was the wrong decision?
Jealousy? The game story doesn't seem to directly reflect Parker's jealousy. In fact, In Lars Day4, Parker will complain to Walter about Gil touch him from time to time.I think interfering in the private life of Lars × Gil couple because of jealousy will cause great contradictions, but their daily relationship doesn't look so bad.
As mentioned in Gil day 7 and shown in Episode Anders, Herbert was Anders' classmate in elementary school in Highwell while Walter was homeschooled, and they met again in high school. He appears in Episode Anders. Edgar asking Walter if he wanted to talk to Herbert wouldn't make sense if he was dead.
The twin switch idea is weird. Yeah in Parker's route there's that dream, and Gil thinks Herbert got sick more often when Walter remembers the opposite. But that seems to contradict Parker having fond memories of himself Gil and Lars taking care of one of the kids in the friend group who got sick often, which can't be Herbert since Gil only met him once or twice. And Walter having a dream memory about the rice ball story in Parker's route also goes against the switch idea to me. If they switched, he wouldn't have the real Walter's memories. Lars and Parker both say Walter hasn't changed at all, and Herbert is said and shown to have an opposite personality. If they switched, would he really be able to act exactly like Walter?
As I said before, Herbert is most likely alive with a distant relationship with Walter. But if you’ve read Lars day 9 there is a heap of information that can definitely lead to a lot more conclusions about their relationship and the possible “Incident”. I definitely believe that Herbert was involved in said incident because of the information in Lars day 9. I believe that the “Incident” could’ve been a mistake that Walter made because of the constant guilt he feels in his flashbacks (although he might just feel guilty for no reason).
I’m just mostly questioning why they are distant and if it relates to the “Incident”.
Maybe the real Walter is dead and Herbet took his place. :(
To get back to your Therory: Reminds me of Persona 5 Royal Sumire Yoshizawa. Walter's Action in his Childhood cause his Twinbrother death, deleloping sort of schizophrenia or divided personality as defense mechanism. This would be the easiest explanation for Walter being joyful, clumsy, forgetful most of the time just to switch into boiled up super aggression + don't-care-about-people-and-consequenzes when being triggerd by a bully or Mark's careless jokes.
In someone route Day7, When Parker knew that Lars and Gil lived together, Parker wanted to go and see what Gil was doing. When Lars and Gil broke up, Gil said Parker was trying to prevent him from making the same wrong decision.
I don't understand, Parker is just a friend. Why should he interfere with the couple's affairs? Is he too nosy to do so?It's none of Parker's business.But it's too simple to explain the reason as Parker's honest and good man. I don't think Andy would design such a simple character.

there's also the unfairness of their arrangement where Parker refuses to let Gil uphold his end of the bargain. yeah Gil asked him to but in exchange for getting Parker to watch his weight, which Parker won't let him do. so Parker gets to eat his cake and cockblock Gil too.
Gil says the arrangement is his own fault, starts to say why saying "i..." then he hesitates and walter questions him, then he says "lars and i" dated. i think that's a deflection and the real reason is something else. then he says Parker is there to stop him from making the same bad decision. he could just be referring to getting back with Lars, but i'm connecting it to what Liz overheard about Parker's mistake he doesn't want anyone else to make. the only thing we see him go out of his way to stop people from doing is sexual advances, and elsewhere it's said Gil is a bad influence on Parker. so maybe Gil feels guilty for whatever Parker's mistake was

Parker didn't refuse the deal though, he agreed to it but is just having it be one sided even though it's supposed to be transactional. the agreement is even mentioned in other routes. Parker has no problem interfering with Gil's sex life, but won't let Gil help him watch his weight which is what cockblocking Gil was supposed to be in exchange for.
I think is because Lars is really expontaneous, and you never know if youll see him once per month or everyday, since he is homeless. So that absence and variavility is what makes Gil decide to let Parker do that, and not Lars. Plus, Parker seems a lot more organize and determined to control Gil, Lars probably would forgot that his task is to control Gil emotions and behavour.
And, Parker its nowadays a has a lot more presence in Gils life since they teach in the same university. So it would be more easy to check on each other.

He mistakenly thought they were fucking in the restroom bc tora (sarcastically?) said it sounded like they were having fun, when in actuality lars was vomiting. Liz stopped him and told walter about the cockblocking bc she was concerned.
If you go to the hot springs with Parker on lars day 8 and don't play along with Tora, Parker instinctively bonks Tora because it reminded him of gil, and he talks about how he stops gil when he does stuff like this because gil asked him to.
And there's all the times Parker lectures Gil. And Gil saying he's still a virgin because of Parker.
In Anders route lars knows about the deal and thinks it's unnecessary.
These and Gil's explanation wouldn't make any sense if Parker had rejected the arrangement and wasn't trying to stop gil. He just wants it to be one sided bc he doesn't want to diet
First of all, thank you for your patient explanation. As for whether Gil is a virgin, I don't think he is. In Lars Episode, the CG shows how close Lars and Gil are, which makes it hard to believe that he is still a virgin. Gil said he was a virgin, maybe just joking.

At present, there are too few clues about Parker, and there is almost no information about Parker in the other four episodes. We can't know Parker's past.

Its a strange route, just like Byron`s. It was the first one i did, so when i finish all of them i realise its one of the slowest and more calm. Since you know, Parker rejected Walter at first. But its cool that some hope its showed in the end with that hand grab. Nice route. I recomend you going for all of them.

mark losing his best friend, which I can only assume to be Avi (hopefully not him though) and having a depressive episode because of it and is now emotionally clingy to Walter now is completely understandable, especially considering how he also lost his brother, other, and presumably "Anders" in an emotional sense
when I lost my best friend, I too got overly clingy to the point where I needed therapy for anxiety and depression, so I hope Mark can get the same type of help as well
as for Anders' episode, finding out someone you know, trusted and looked up to for so long was someone terrible, It's understandable how he'd act that way and be distanced towards people now, I wont reveal too much but I pretty much experienced the same with my mother like Anders with his, hope he gets emotional help and self confirmation that he isn't his father and he can figure a=out that which he wanted to find out in that chapter
Did Gil have sex with Edgar? In Anders episode, Herbert talks with Anders. Herbert tells Anders to be careful of Gil, says he is a family destroyer, and mocks that he is now a famous teacher. Does this suggest that Gil had sex with Edgar and Herbert found out? The teacher's identity is also obtained through this relationship?
One day in Gil route, Gil left his mobile phone outside in the shower and kept giving a prompt tone. Walter said that he knew it very well and heard it on his father's mobile phone. It is said that this is the prompt tone of a gay communication software.
But probably yeah, Gil of all the routs has the best realeationship with Walter family. In his route he has some lines like "I really want to visit them. I dont do it since so long ago" So probably he had sex with Edgar, and with how Herbert is, he probably ear, see or knew it somehow.

WELL. Knowing how Walter is, he probably would just freak out a little and then focus on another thing.
But it deppends on who and how he got told. If its Gil, just talking seriously and relaxed with him, probably what i a said. But if its another person, and with a bad context, Walter probably would take it really bad.
If all this is true, it may mean that Walter forgave a family wrecker. This will be an indescribable strange feeling. I think it doesn't conform to Walter's character setting.
second theory, Maybe Herbert is envious of Gilbert because he "took away" Walter from him when they became friends and since Walter was presumably the only one Herbert can call a friend he was bitter to it and is why he is bitter towards everyone else and is so self centered?
i don't think he's slept with anyone, i'm believing Gil when he says he's a virgin on his day 7. when Walter doesn't believe it, Gil is quick to take it back because he wants to be seen as a sex expert. to me this feels like he wouldn't say he was a virgin if it wasn't true. And later when Gil is teasing Walter about it being his first time at a hot spring, Lars teases Gil about being a virgin and his reaction confirms it to me. Lars also sounds surprised when Gil said it, meaning they never had sex and he never found out when they were dating (which is weird, but maybe Parker was cockblocking him even back then, despite their arrangement sounding more recent).
Herbert doesn't say that Gil is a family destroyer, only that he has a certain reputation and he's someone to stay away from, it's probably due to the rumors surrounding Gil rather than anything to do with Edgar.

But after reading Mr. Parker’s and Anders/Byron routes, there it seems to be brothers? I do not know exactly, just asking. But on Lars route Walter seems to be Herbert but now is a different person due to memory lost.
More like theory crafting per see, but I’m confused. Just changes from timeline to timeline from what I see. Like there is something more than memory lost, like Walter and Herbert are the same person, but it depends on the route.

Just finished Byron's Episode... Im, devasteated. Everything was going good, until, well, THAT happend. It really hurts, a lot, because i think you can see how Byron is getting a little bit more confy with himself, Mark, Herbert and his life choices. But then THAThappends. And you feel just as devastated as him.... Such great writting. I really like the way the Episode build up, and specialy how Herbert was in it, perfect. And that end... That end... God Almighty. Really great job Andy.
But, im shure im not gonna call him Anders anymore. He is not that person, even if he thinks he is.
I played this episode twice but still I can't understand it fully yet...I know what happened, but who is Anders? Why does Byron want to take that name? What happened to his father after that event? The only one thing I know is I don't like Herbert...He's mean, not like Walter, and he kinda hate Walter too...
Well, im not gonna lie. At first i didnt understood everything. I was like "WHAT HAPPEND?!" but then i really analize things and started to see things clearly. For my point of view:
Anders is the popular boy of Byron's highschool. The one who Byron's father r4p3 (i dont know if its allow to say that word).
Byron took his name because he doesn't feel like himself after that event. Even before that, he felt like an impostor, just a bad copy of his father. So the breaking point of starting to think he is other person was unleash because of that event. Plus, i think he took that name because Anders was broken after the meeting with his father. So he felt he fit more in that description of "broken".
Byron's father probably goes to jail. Byron says after the time skip something like "ill make him pay, that is the little i can do" so, probably he report it to the police.
I hope that solve your doupts. And i too really dont like Herbert. Like, its cool and interesting to finally see him in the history, but with the end and some behaves he has in the history, he is defintly a not good person.
Do public updates usually come out after ~2-4 months after the Patreon release or does it only happen sometimes due to some unexpected problems? Is there a set update schedule? (Just wanna know when can we approximately expect Lars Day 9 and other updates to release publicly)
After checking a bit, maybe? We do gain something when taking to him in some routes. I do not know if he will be Dateable, but I hope we can at least become friends with him. He does need some friends.

I'm not so sure. He's actually still a virgin as of day 7 (this is revealed on Gil day 7 if you don't sit with him on the bus iirc). Would he really lose his virginity to Talbot of all people, who he seems to have no romantic/sexual interest in whatsoever in the other routes? Maybe since Lars is his ex he's extra jealous of him and Walter, but idk. It's possible they were kissing or something, but I very highly doubt it was sex. Or it could even be a red herring and Walter misinterpreted things and it was just an argument.

there's also the unfairness of their arrangement where Parker refuses to let Gil uphold his end of the bargain. yeah Gil asked him to but in exchange for getting Parker to watch his weight, which Parker won't let him do. so Parker gets to eat his cake and cockblock Gil too.
Gil says the arrangement is his own fault, starts to say why saying "i..." then he hesitates and walter questions him, then he says "lars and i" dated. i think that's a deflection and the real reason is something else. then he says Parker is there to stop him from making the same bad decision. he could just be referring to getting back with Lars, but i'm connecting it to what Liz overheard about Parker's mistake he doesn't want anyone else to make. the only thing we see him go out of his way to stop people from doing is sexual advances, and elsewhere it's said Gil is a bad influence on Parker. so maybe Gil feels guilty for whatever Parker's mistake was

Parker didn't refuse the deal though, he agreed to it but is just having it be one sided even though it's supposed to be transactional. the agreement is even mentioned in other routes. Parker has no problem interfering with Gil's sex life, but won't let Gil help him watch his weight which is what cockblocking Gil was supposed to be in exchange for.

I think is because Lars is really expontaneous, and you never know if youll see him once per month or everyday, since he is homeless. So that absence and variavility is what makes Gil decide to let Parker do that, and not Lars. Plus, Parker seems a lot more organize and determined to control Gil, Lars probably would forgot that his task is to control Gil emotions and behavour.
And, Parker its nowadays a has a lot more presence in Gils life since they teach in the same university. So it would be more easy to check on each other.

And there's all the times Parker lectures Gil. And Gil saying he's still a virgin because of Parker.
In Anders route lars knows about the deal and thinks it's unnecessary.
These and Gil's explanation wouldn't make any sense if Parker had rejected the arrangement and wasn't trying to stop gil. He just wants it to be one sided bc he doesn't want to diet
First of all, thank you for your patient explanation. As for whether Gil is a virgin, I don't think he is. In Lars Episode, the CG shows how close Lars and Gil are, which makes it hard to believe that he is still a virgin. Gil said he was a virgin, maybe just joking.

I just finished Mr. Parker's route with the guide I got and I must say, I am pretty heart broken. I was rooting for them 😥 oh well...
Its a strange route, just like Byron`s. It was the first one i did, so when i finish all of them i realise its one of the slowest and more calm. Since you know, Parker rejected Walter at first. But its cool that some hope its showed in the end with that hand grab. Nice route. I recomend you going for all of them.

mark losing his best friend, which I can only assume to be Avi (hopefully not him though) and having a depressive episode because of it and is now emotionally clingy to Walter now is completely understandable, especially considering how he also lost his brother, other, and presumably "Anders" in an emotional sense
when I lost my best friend, I too got overly clingy to the point where I needed therapy for anxiety and depression, so I hope Mark can get the same type of help as well
as for Anders' episode, finding out someone you know, trusted and looked up to for so long was someone terrible, It's understandable how he'd act that way and be distanced towards people now, I wont reveal too much but I pretty much experienced the same with my mother like Anders with his, hope he gets emotional help and self confirmation that he isn't his father and he can figure a=out that which he wanted to find out in that chapter

Did Gil have sex with Edgar? In Anders episode, Herbert talks with Anders. Herbert tells Anders to be careful of Gil, says he is a family destroyer, and mocks that he is now a famous teacher. Does this suggest that Gil had sex with Edgar and Herbert found out? The teacher's identity is also obtained through this relationship?
One day in Gil route, Gil left his mobile phone outside in the shower and kept giving a prompt tone. Walter said that he knew it very well and heard it on his father's mobile phone. It is said that this is the prompt tone of a gay communication software.

If all this is true, it may mean that Walter forgave a family wrecker. This will be an indescribable strange feeling. I think it doesn't conform to Walter's character setting.
second theory, Maybe Herbert is envious of Gilbert because he "took away" Walter from him when they became friends and since Walter was presumably the only one Herbert can call a friend he was bitter to it and is why he is bitter towards everyone else and is so self centered?
i don't think he's slept with anyone, i'm believing Gil when he says he's a virgin on his day 7. when Walter doesn't believe it, Gil is quick to take it back because he wants to be seen as a sex expert. to me this feels like he wouldn't say he was a virgin if it wasn't true. And later when Gil is teasing Walter about it being his first time at a hot spring, Lars teases Gil about being a virgin and his reaction confirms it to me. Lars also sounds surprised when Gil said it, meaning they never had sex and he never found out when they were dating (which is weird, but maybe Parker was cockblocking him even back then, despite their arrangement sounding more recent).
Herbert doesn't say that Gil is a family destroyer, only that he has a certain reputation and he's someone to stay away from, it's probably due to the rumors surrounding Gil rather than anything to do with Edgar.

More like theory crafting per see, but I’m confused. Just changes from timeline to timeline from what I see. Like there is something more than memory lost, like Walter and Herbert are the same person, but it depends on the route.

Just finished Byron's Episode... Im, devasteated. Everything was going good, until, well, THAT happend. It really hurts, a lot, because i think you can see how Byron is getting a little bit more confy with himself, Mark, Herbert and his life choices. But then THAT happends. And you feel just as devastated as him.... Such great writting. I really like the way the Episode build up, and specialy how Herbert was in it, perfect. And that end... That end... God Almighty. Really great job Andy.
But, im shure im not gonna call him Anders anymore. He is not that person, even if he thinks he is.
I played this episode twice but still I can't understand it fully yet...I know what happened, but who is Anders? Why does Byron want to take that name? What happened to his father after that event? The only one thing I know is I don't like Herbert...He's mean, not like Walter, and he kinda hate Walter too...
Well, im not gonna lie. At first i didnt understood everything. I was like "WHAT HAPPEND?!" but then i really analize things and started to see things clearly. For my point of view:
Anders is the popular boy of Byron's highschool. The one who Byron's father r4p3 (i dont know if its allow to say that word).
Byron took his name because he doesn't feel like himself after that event. Even before that, he felt like an impostor, just a bad copy of his father. So the breaking point of starting to think he is other person was unleash because of that event. Plus, i think he took that name because Anders was broken after the meeting with his father. So he felt he fit more in that description of "broken".
Byron's father probably goes to jail. Byron says after the time skip something like "ill make him pay, that is the little i can do" so, probably he report it to the police.
I hope that solve your doupts. And i too really dont like Herbert. Like, its cool and interesting to finally see him in the history, but with the end and some behaves he has in the history, he is defintly a not good person.

I'm not so sure. He's actually still a virgin as of day 7 (this is revealed on Gil day 7 if you don't sit with him on the bus iirc). Would he really lose his virginity to Talbot of all people, who he seems to have no romantic/sexual interest in whatsoever in the other routes? Maybe since Lars is his ex he's extra jealous of him and Walter, but idk. It's possible they were kissing or something, but I very highly doubt it was sex. Or it could even be a red herring and Walter misinterpreted things and it was just an argument.
